Continuing our horror genre reviews in honor of Halloween this month, Kyle and Jim discuss two clever thrillers with outstanding performances all around. The Silence of the Lambs from 1991 and Seven from 1995.

At the core, both movies are about a serial killer that have their own agenda and the result is multiple grisly murders. However, each movie is much more than a crime drama. The use of symbolism, the visually dark and dire overtone, and the overall seedy climate of these movies are just some of the things that make them a cut above.
