Northwestern University's Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Regulatory Affairs and former Assistant Director of Compliance for the Big 10 Conference, Kristina Minor, joins Glenn on the Field to discuss the ever-evolving landscape of NCAA Compliance, what it is, why it is in place on college campuses, and its impact on collegiate amateurism, eligibility, and recruiting. Kristina explains why student-athletes must meet the compliance standards set by the NCAA, the institution, or any other relevant authority. Kristina also shares why it's important for athletes to partner with their athletic compliance officers on their campus, maintain their academic performance standards to retain eligibility, and why athletes should never accept gifts or special favors from people they don't know.
