This week Dave and Joe, Chasing Tomorrow podcast co-show hosts, have the pleasure of talking to Keith Russell, born and raised outside of Dublin, Ireland. Keith is relatively new to the sport of ultra-running, he's run a sub-3-hour marathon, he came 3rd in the 107-mile Dublin to Belfast in 18hrs, has run 100 miles in just under 16 hours and he recently won the Irish backyard championships completing 63 laps. But the inspiring story is of Keith and Alanna Russell, Alanna was born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, with no speech or use of her arms or legs. In 2017 she became the youngest person to complete the Dublin Marathon alongside her proud father Keith. Shortly after the race in December Alanna sadly left us, leaving behind a gift that brought a new direction to life for her devoted father Keith.
