142 Laws of Life & Love, Pt. 3: The Law of Opposites
Manage episode 386124804 series 2907398
Just as there are laws of physics that govern reality, so there are laws of relationships that govern our pursuit of intimacy.
In this special series of podcasts, Roy discusses five “Laws of Life & Love,” showing us that if we align ourselves with these laws, we will experience healthy, sustainable relationships. But if we don’t, if misunderstand them or go against them, our relationships will never be fulfilling.
In part three of this 5-part series, Roy addresses the Law of Opposites.
The strange thing about this law is that it appears to directly contradict the Law of Attraction. Since the Law of Opposites means “opposites attract,” then how does that square with the Law of Attraction which says, “like attracts like?” Which is it? Do you see the contradiction?
It turns out that there’s a paradox here, that both laws are true, it’s just that they’re talking about different aspects of our lives. The Law of Attraction is talking about our authenticity (or lack thereof), while the Law of Opposites is talking about our lop-sided psychology.
The bottom line is that opposites do attract and unless you understand this law and align yourself with it, your love life will never be satisfying. Don’t miss this episode.
