In this week’s show, John describes why so many nonclinical jobs require translating or interpreting information for physicians or healthcare managers, or leaders. Common examples include medical directors for quality improvement, utilization and benefits management, clinical documentation integrity, and informatics.

Two types of freelance businesses that involve the legal system also involve that kind of interpretation. These are jobs in the medical-legal and expert witness consulting fields.

The two businesses generate income in excess of most clinical positions (on an hourly basis). However, they differ in a number of important ways. John explains how they differ, and where you can find training to assist you to enter either field.

You will find all of the links mentioned in the episode at nonclinicalphysicians.com/expert-witness-o…legal-consulting/
