Join us this week on PKCC as we sit down with Rick Williamson. Kyoshi Rick Williamson has been involved in Martial Arts since 1964 both as a competitor and a teacher. He won the middleweight division of the Western Canadian University Judo Championships in 1971 and again in 1972. He was the head instructor of the Portage Tae Kwon Do Club from 1980 to 19840. In 1988, he was the first student in the first Jishin-Ryu Jiu Jitsu Club in Western Canada and was the first to reach the Black Belt level. He was head instructor for the portage Jiu-Jitsu Club for 26 years and in 2017 was promoted to 7th Degree Black Belt by Hanshi John Therien, founder of the World Kobudo Federation.
