【风马牛不相及】Be totally unrelated.
春秋时期，齐国的国力强大，齐桓公联合了几个国家打算继续向南，攻打楚国。
齐桓公的军队刚到楚国的边境the border，就有士兵报：“大王，楚国派使者来了。”
楚国派来的使者名叫屈完，是当时楚国很有才能的一位大臣minister。他对齐桓公说：“大王，您的国家在北方，我们楚国在南方，两国离得这么远，就好像马和牛这两种动物，马喜欢逆风against the wind行走，牛喜欢顺风following the wind行走，风马牛不相及。不知道大王进攻楚国，到底是因为什么呢?”
齐桓公觉得屈完说得有道理，就没有攻打楚国了。
后来，人们用“风马牛不相及”来比喻两个事物或两件事情不相干，完全没有关系。
