In this week's episode I talk to my guest Luke Murray all about why mens mental health matters. We discuss Luke's own experiences around mental health and what brought him to the work he does today as an advocate for mens mental health.
We talk about:

  • the unique challenges men face when it comes to opening up about mental health
  • supportive environments available for men
  • the significance of physical activity for mental health
  • what are the impacts on mental health
  • the power of cold water and his role as a Wim How Method instructor

I hope that this episode will provide encouragement and support to all men to know that there is support available.
About Luke:
Luke Murray is a personal trainer and certified Wim Hof Method instructor who supports men facing mental health challenges. Drawing on his training and his own journey to recovery, Luke’s mission is to empower others to transform their lives through physical activity, fitness and the Wim Hof Method. Having experienced the life-saving benefits of the gym and physical activity during his own battle with mental illness, Luke brings a unique blend of empathy, evidence and expertise to his work. By combining evidence-based fitness techniques with powerful breathwork and the cold exposure elements of the Wim Hof Method he helps his clients to foster physical and mental resilience.

Luke’s projects include ‘The Fraternity’; which is a 28-day online group programme for men with depression, anxiety, stress or a history of suicide ideation or attempts. He also runs the ‘Live Long Project’ which is an online group personal training programme aimed at anyone, men and women, over 18 and focuses on healthy longevity.
