Mabel follows 13 year old Callie, an awkward kid whose one friend, Mabel, is a plant- until her teacher Ms. G introduces her to the world of "plant intelligence". Nicholas shares why he has an obsession with plants, how working on the Mr. Rogers documentary helped him tap into young people and their concerns, his incredible cast (including Judy Greer), and the struggles of being a mixed-race kid.
