When Australian doctor Richard Scolyer was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour around a year ago, his chances of survival were slim. But then the 57-year-old became "patient zero" in an immunotherapy approach that was developed on the basis of his own melanoma research. - Als der australische Arzt Richard Scolyer vor etwa einem Jahr mit einem bösartigen Gehirntumor diagnostiziert wurde, waren seine Überlebenschancen gering. Doch dann wurde der 57-Jährige zum „Patient Null“ in einem Immuntherapie-Ansatz, der aufgrund seiner eigenen Melanomforschung entwickelt wurde.
