In part two of our Queer Love Stories series, Nick and Bella delve into an extraordinarily underrated documentary and two brilliant romcoms that highlight some of our favorite queer love stories in cinema.
Nick starts with Peter Friedman's Silverlake Life: The View From Here, a brutally intimate video diary that documents Tom Joslin and Mark Massi's remarkable love story and their painfully real experience living with AIDS in the early '90s.
Next, Bella introduces Alice Wu's Saving Face, an incredibly heartfelt mother-daughter story and a hilarious romcom that tackles social and cultural stigmas head-on.
We finish the series with a recommendation from Nick's hidden gem vault: the Swedish coming-of-age romcom, Show Me Love (also known as Fucking Åmål).
These are three absolute must-watch films! Let us know what you think of this episode and share your thoughts on these movies!
