The ceremony where Gowron awards the Star of Kahless to Martok is great to watch, and it’s very Klingon. Although blood may have always been a part of the ceremony, it turns out to be very useful. As they add blood to the chalice by cutting their hands, they are also proving they are not shape changers.

Odo is suffering from the same wasting disease that’s affecting the Founders, and Bashir has to find a solution. Gowron awards the Star of Kahless to Martok and takes over administration of the war. Dukat attempts to read the Kosst Amojan, but he pays the price.
Episode Pictures (click for hi-res):
Dukat tried to look at the Kosst Amojan without Kai Winn there, and pays the price as the book blinds him.
After Gowron tells Martok and Worf his war plans, Martok and Worf share an “oh crap he’s crazy” moment.
