Cover ArtHello everyone, Roberto here.

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for the long delay. Since our last episode back in June many things happened which led to our unannounced hiatus over the summer. The time away has allowed me to think about the status of the podcast in my life and whether or not it should continue.

I got into podcasting in the Spring of 2011 with the thought that this would be a fun and creative outlet for me. I wasn’t looking for a way to generate any money doing this, just to reach out to others with common interests to talk about stuff that I like to talk about. I told myself that if the day came when trailerclash became a chore instead of a fun hobby, it would probably be time to call it quits. After much deliberation, some sadness, and frankly some relief, I have decided to end trailerclash at this time.

Recording and producing a weekly podcast is a lot of work. On top of raising a family and working a full-time job, the reality is that I’m burnt out. Plus the realities of marketing and promoting the podcast were aspects of this work that I really hadn’t anticipated; that alone has been for me the most stressful and frustrating aspect of this experience. And while I think that there is a future for me in this medium, it probably won’t be doing a year-round weekly series.

I have some thoughts and ideas on future projects I might pursue, and I’m not ruling out the possibility of bringing trailerclash back in the future in some new form. For now, I will continue with my seasonal Game of Thrones podcast, A Pod of Casts, with my good friend Robin Pierson during the Spring. From time to time the awesome folks at the Escape Artists ask me to narrate stories for them, which I will gladly continue to do. And if I decide to bring back trailerclash or a new project in the future, the trailerclash page and feed will remain active as well as all social media channels so you can stay informed.

I am so grateful to all of you, our listeners and contributors, for being a part of this adventure with us. Barb, John, and I have had an awesome time sharing our love of movies and movie trailers with all of you these past three years. I hope that you have been entertained by our rants and ramblings, and perhaps learned something along the way.

Thank you, and stay clashy.
