In this podcast Bishop Terence Brady, Auxiliary Bishop of Sydney, reflects on the corporal and spiritual works of mercy and encourages us to act these works of mercy in our local communities. When Bishop Terry was about 15 years of age he started to get involved in serving at the Matthew Talbot hostel, working with the homeless and serving them. He describes that this was a great privilege serving those in need and it had a huge impact on the direction of his own life. "When we go to our brothers and sisters and help them in their need we become beneficiaries of this action." He explains. "I have no doubt that this Jubilee Year of Mercy, initiated by Pope Francis nine years earlier than it would have normally been, is a fresh way of looking at and approaching the Gospel and we will all benefit greatly from it," Said Bishop Terry.
