On this episode of JBFC Podcast, we sit down with our International Programmer-in-Residence, Mihai Chirilov. A co-founder and artistic director of the Transylvania International Film Festival, Mihai programmed all of the films in our Tales from the Golden Age: New Romanian Cinema series. Using Cristi Puiu's Marfa si banii (Stuff and Dough) as a starting point, Mihai discusses the circumstances surrounding the Romanian cinema revolution, Romania's ever-growing presence in the global film community, and the rise of the Transylvania International Film Festival.
