If this is your first time listening to the show, this is a mini-episode, where we drink one beer and talk about a single subject. The previous episode and the next episode are full episodes, where we also talk about homebrewing and running in addition to reviewing a regular release and an amazing, usually rare beer.

Episode Focus: Russian Imperial Stouts

Today's beer is Clown Shoes Ohio Unidragon 2016: A Russian Imperial Stout exclusive to the Ohio market. Thanks, Andrew!

The BJCP gives this overview of the style:

"An intensely flavored, big, dark ale. Roasty, fruity, and bittersweet, with a noticeable alcohol presence. Dark fruit flavors meld with roasty, burnt, or almost tar-like sensations. Like a black barleywine with every dimension of flavor coming into play."

Other Russian Imperial Stouts that have been reviewed on Brew / Drink / Run include:

Hair of the Dog Putin
Three Taverns Theophan The Recluse
North Coast Old Rasputin
And lots more!
