As much as we clown around here at film bro studios we decided to just do an episode on a movie called Clown...however as with most clowns or clown themed endeavors, it was not enjoyed that much.

Clown is the 2014 horror film produced by Eli Roth (Hostel) and directed by Jon Watts (Spiderman:Homecoming) about a guy who is a real estate agent and finds an old costume, decides to put it on for his kids birthday party. Good dad thing to do right? On paper yes it is, however when the costume is cursed with a demon spirit....shit goes down hill fast.

The film is definitely...different. I mean it's not a terrible film but as with most films in this genre it's either part of your wheel house or you have to take it with a huge grain of salt and get through it. However there are good things about the film like the special effects and makeup as well as how Watts directs it. Oh and Peter Stormare (Armageddon) wants to keep cutting the demons head off.

If you somehow happen to like clowns, go ahead and watch the movie....if you don't like clowns....flip a coin whether to watch it or not. Just remember if you find an old ass clown costume in a house you buy, don't put it on or else you'll want to eat kids as a demon clown...during the winter.
