In hot weather, plants are easily stressed. Water and mulch are essential. But the third key to summer survival is shade. Vegetable Agronomist Dominic Cavallaro explains how shade benefits plants. Jon Lamb and ABC Radio Adelaide’s Deb Tribe launch the “Shifting Shade” competition. Just email a picture of your temporary garden shade solution (like Christine from the Adelaide Hills above), with an explanation and your contact details, to adelaideweekends@abc.net.au before Sunday 10th of February 2019.
