Episode 034Come and knock on our door. The Down Placers have been waiting for you . . . so they can tell you about 1974’s Man About the House (dir. John Robins). This Hammer comedy spun out of the British sitcom of the same name, and if the set-up of the movie sounds familiar, you must be a John Ritter fan. Man About the House was the British television show that inspired the American sitcom Three’s Company, and in this episode of 1951 Down Place, Casey, Derek, and Scott talk about the similarities between this film and that TV show, as well as the lack of similarities between this movie and every other Hammer film discussed on 1951 Down Place so far.
