- A lesson learned is a blessing earned = “blesson”
- Pleasure and pain are two aspects of the same coin. You can never have one without the other
- Don’t try to escape from unpleasant experiences with others. See them as an opportunity to better understand people and ultimately yourself
- Your enemies may be able to help you more than your friends - remember whatever angers you about someone
- It’s a journey, not a destination - be curious about life’s challenges and integrate their wisdom is important
