In her own words, sheās a Trained Clinical Family Therapist and a counselor who specialises in the treatment of emotional trauma and PTSD symptoms for children, youth and adults. Starting with what culturally competent therapy looks like for her just so you understand some of her biases and experiences as a woman, immigrant and CALD representing mental health professional in a sector that is quite dominated with a different culture and get some tips on how to gauge whether your therapist would be a good match for you or not before you commit to them. We then talk about the feeling of anger you feel for your parents when you donāt particularly see eye to eye with them and break down the guilt that comes with that anger.
