In this episode I discuss my personal experience and fascination with Lucid Dreaming. Granted this is a niche topic in terms of Mental Health but I passionately believe it is an exceptional tool for practicing Mindfulness. Lucid dreaming is a vast topic and I could talk about it for hours, so consider this an overview. I go through the benefits of lucid dreaming as well as the downsides to this practice. Like everything in life with hard work, determination and grit you can wield this powerful tool to do wonders in your personal life! I elaborate on two very vivid dreams I had in the early days which I remember to this day! For further reference material to sink your teeth into, check out this fantastic book on the subject: Dreams of Awakening – Charlie Morley I also briefly discuss a wonderful app called Goodreads where you can keep track of your personal library and what you want to read, are reading or have finished reading, etc. For you movie buffs out there who want to see lucid dreaming Hollywood style, check out the brilliant movie Inception. Welcome to the 'Searching for Ace ' podcast! I'm Asad Shah and I'm thrilled you've joined me on this journey to discuss all things Mental Health and Mindfulness in a manner that's different from the norm and one which suits my personality. This podcast and its contents will be delivered using elements of comedy, skits, voice impressions, music, as well as doses of randomness when required! Let’s change our Mindset and get rid of the Negative. As a welcome message and premiere episode I discuss several aspects and some will be looked at more in depth in future episodes. Expect special guest appearances in this episode from Peter and Stewie Griffin , a very insightful and convincing Salesman , a South Indian man, Slithery Jim and Ken Kaniff to start things off this season! I highlight the importance of dealing with outside noise and negativity and how to drown that out. In addition - how we respond to things is critical on determining a more positive outcome. I touch upon what's new in my life and what I'm currently focusing on besides the podcast and lay out the plans for this season's content. Meditation is something I encourage everyone to try and I recommend an amazing app to help you on your journey!
