8 more movie reviews for you today, and lets dive right in.

Wait! Hold up for just a second, cause today we also do a lil mini celebration of having reviewed over 225 films here. Just about halfway for film reviews according to my ever expanding list. So we share some of our favorites and not so favs from the list. Ok back to it.

We start off today with (Cold Turkey 1971). Here we have Dick van Dyke Pippa Scott and pretty much every big character actor workin in the 70’s. This was directed by Norman Lear, who actually did not direct much, he was more of a writer and producer, and can y’all believe he is still with us at 101. He showed up the oscars and I was pretty amazed. Damn let’s go, this is a movie about a town that wants to make a name for itself by taking an odd bet from big Tobacco that a town can’t quit smoking for a month. Will the succeed/ is this film any good, well we will certainly give our hot takes on this 52 year old movie.

Here I screwed up the chronological flow of things and engaged in our Pink Panther movie early, apologies, but it’s (the Pink Panther strikes again 1976) More apologies to slapstick fans, for my treatment of the so called genre, just imagine me falling down a lot and having a rake hit me in the face……. While I solve crime, that could make you happy again.

Moving on to (the Snow Goose 1971) spoiler with little remorse, it’s the most trippy 70’s way to tell the story of Dunkirk ever. Listen to our review of the snow goose then listen to Camel’s amazing progressive rock masterpiece, the snow goose, for some musical insight into this. Why not?

Next up is (the Other 1972) Ha, we couldn’t quite figure it out while reviewing this drama horror mystery film, but right here on IMDB it says it takes place in 1935, and that’s very important to know, NOT. It can bug us when we just can’t tell while viewing, when a movie is supposed to take place, I thought that Touched by Love just had everyone dressing basic and a lil hipster, but it took place in the 50’s apparently. What else to say………… I think this kid might be trouble.

Let’s continue with another creepy one we wanted to get on the tape before halloween but as usual didn’t. Please enjoy now our review of (Don’t look now 1973) Ha, no review here, you gotta listen, but why would you be here and not. This one is weird and I think it’s meant to be. Fans of Julie Christie, Donald Sutherland, and director Nicolas Roeg, must sometimes find their way here, whether they love it or not.

Moving on again to (Conduct Unbecoming 1975). The guy from sound of music who was apparently at least half drunk the whole shoot is here in this, he was also in Star Trek 6, also the guy from Jurrassic park that says “welcome to Jurrasic park.’ Is here too sooooo it’s got to be great of course. F**k don’t forget the guy from Logan’s Run, the guy from Cheech and Chongs Up in Smoke, and the Officer who says “my vow of celibacy is on record.” In Star Trek the motion picture, she’s here, as well as Susan York from superman 2. Everyone’s here so this is just gonna rule, right?

Next up is Henry Wrinker in (the One and Only 1978). Will the Fonz who is the absolute most annoying self obsessed college student, find balance, and have a healthy home and work relationship? Let’s see, Henry is a great actor so even in cringe it’s nice, at least for me to watch him cook. Kim Darby from the STOS episode MIRI and True grit is here, along with Mrs Deagle from Gremlins who gets sent through the roof in the stair chair device.

Finally today we review (GoldenGirl 1979). This, long long on my list of buried 70’s films with a very intriguing premise has finally been re-released on DVD. Will it live up to the hype in my head? Susan Anton is here, singing the theme song, and training constantly. Hey, 70’s film fans, I hope this finds you well, and seriously, thanks for reading this, and listening.
