When Julia wanted to express the difficulties that others go through to just “get out there”, she decided to make the most basic steps of experiencing the outdoors, getting there, an obstacle to overcome.

After thinking on her idea for a year and a half, she decided to start walking from the iconic downton Denver Union Station to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, almost 70 miles away. Blisters, cars, and even animals were just some of the challenges she faced in the four-day journey.

Today Julia is here to tell us about the amazing experience. You can read a day-by-day report of the journey here.

You can learn more about the Cairn Project here.
