Deadline reports that Legendary Entertainment has made a deal with Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown to star in and produce a feature film based on the novel series Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer. The book series began in 2006 and spans six novels revolving around mysteries investigated by Sherlock Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola.

Coming from a report in The Sunday Times, hat tip to Indie Wire, Disney has admitted to using makeup to help dozens of white extras look Middle Eastern for crowd scenes while shooting the upcoming, live-action remake of Aladdin. According to the British newspaper: “The company says it resorted to darkening white people for roles requiring skills that could not be readily found in the Asian community” near Longcross Film Studios, where shooting is underway, “such as stunt men, dancers and camel handlers.”

AGREE/DISAGREE

Spawn creator Todd McFarlane recently spoke to AZ Central (via The Playlist) for Arizona’s upcoming Ace Comic-Con when the conversation turned to his Spawn movie reboot set up at Blumhouse. McFarlane said that they have just signed off on the script and are currently budgeting the movie as a dark and heavy, serious, R-rated film. McFarlane then revealed that the movie he is looking to make is more comparable with Jaws.

Bloody Disgusting debuted the first trailer for Lionsgate’s Hellraiser: Judgment; the latest installment in the iconic long-running horror franchise, which brings back Pinhead now played by Paul T. Taylor. The movie follows three detectives on the hunt for a serial killer who follow the clues right down to a hellish maze of horrors.

Universal Pictures has released a new Blockers trailer for the upcoming comedy. The film revolves around a trio of parents played by Leslie Mann, John Cena, and Ike Barinholtz—who discover their children have a pact to lose their virginity on prom night. Instead of letting it go, they do everything in their power to ensure their kids get “blocked” on prom night.
