1. Sony releases a ‘Venom’ trailer starring Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams. The trailer has a horror vibe to it with a little background into this onscreen version of Eddie Brock.
2. Fox and Marvel released a new ‘Deadpool 2’ trailer starring with Ryan Reynolds and with more footage of Josh Brolin as Cable.
3. Netflix releases a trailer for Season 2 of Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter, Rachael Taylor and David Tennant.
Minor Mutations!
1. ‘Black Panther’ scores big with critics and pre-sales box office. The panel also discusses the Time magazine cover featuring Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. 2. ‘Legion’ Season 2 will be premiering in March. 3. ‘Conan the Barbarian’ series is coming to Amazon. Will we just get a pilot or a full series on arrival? 4. ‘Logan’ director, James Mangold, does not like post credit scenes. The panel discusses his comments. 5. Michael Bay in talks to direct a feature film about DC Comics’ resident space bounty hunter, Lobo. Jason Fuchs is working on a script rewrite based on Bay’s notes. 6. Joaquin Phoenix is Todd Phillips’ first choice to play The Joker in his standalone origin movie for DC and Warner Bros. 7. The working title for ‘Wonder Woman 2’ is “Magic Hour”. Does this mean that Circe will be the villain in the movie? 8. Marvel celebrates its 10 year anniversary as a studio, which started with 2008's ‘Iron Man’. 9. A fan uses a home computer program called DeepFakes to remove Superman’s mustache better than WB’s FX team. What happened here? 10. Tessa Thompson reveals that she may want to be the new Kick-Ass. 11. A deleted ‘Justice League’ scene has been released that reveals Henry Cavill looking at a black Superman suit in the movie. 12. ‘Titans’ live action series may feature Doom Patrol.
Moment of silence for actor Reg E. Cathey who passed away this week. He will be seen as Luke Cage’s father in Season 2 of the Netflix series.
