This is one of the first series of books I did way back when. It is a Gothic horror story involving some of my favorite heroes that have fallen into the public domain. Characters such as Sherlock Holmes and of Course Watson, Allan Quatermain , Arsène Lupin, Van Helsing, Zorro, and many others, however the book is not without the antagonist as well, such as Elizabeth Bathory, Dracula, the headless horseman, the phantom of the opera, Professor Moriarty, the Frankenstein monster, and many many others pop up here and there.
The story revolves around Elizabeth Bathory wanting to continue her quest to remain young and beautiful by resurrecting Dracula as a supernatural means, uncovering the Frankenstein monster to try scientific methods. However in her attempts to achieve her unholy goals she sets loose chaotic events that threaten to bring the world to its kneels releasing Vampires, zombies, werewolves and monsters of all sorts into thew world.
The narrator of this volume is amazing in that his voice changes with each character giving you a feel that you are listening to radio production of sorts.
