Vera Ventura is going to teach us about being more mindful using technology and social media.

Vera was born in Miami Florida and moved to NYC at 14 to live with her sister and study acting. City living exposed more to her in the next 4 years than she could ever imagine. She held many jobs and learned the value of hard work and perseverance.

Vera attended Skidmore College and designed her own major: visual anthropology. While in college, she traveled and lived abroad in London and India. While in India, she was drawn to the practice of yoga.

After graduation, she moved to Boston and started her first company, Veracious Productions where she produced and edited documentary films and weddings. During that time she had a profound spiritual awakening that stopped her from consuming anything that was mood altering, including flour and sugar. She started practicing meditation daily.

Knowing that the lifestyle of a documentary filmmaker was not stable and consistent, she started teaching filmmaking and pursued her masters in Education Technology at Harvard University, while continuing to run her business.

In 2012, Vera became a certified yoga teacher, mindfulness educator and balanced her time between the healing arts while maintaining her job in the visual arts.

Currently, Vera leads workshops and teaches Mindfulness and Yoga.
