New episode with an unbelievable life story of a guy who went from accounting job to Wushu world champion to working with martial art legends Jackie Chan and Jet Li

This is an interview with my friend Alfred Hsing (alfredrocks.com). He is the first American to win a gold medal at the World Wushu Championships. Wushu is a Chinese martial art that has thousands of years of history.

After winning the gold medal, Alfred got a job living, working and traveling with Jet Li where he got to be a part of Jet Li’s daily life and meet celebrities and business leaders all over the world. Alfred actually lived in Jet Li’s house.

It doesn’t stop there.

After his time with Jet Li, Alfred made the hard decision to leave and joined Jackie Chan’s stunt team where they worked on a movie together.

But before all that - Alfred was just a normal dude working at KPMG after graduating from UCLA.

How did he go from normal accounting job to working with Jet Li and Jackie Chan? That’s what we get into in the interview today and it’s a long long journey.

In this episode we talk about

  • his journey to becoming the first American to win the world wushu champion while working his accounting job
  • the struggles he faced when trying to decide if he should quit his job
  • how he got a job living, working and traveling all over the world with Jet Li and meeting people like Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and Jack Ma
  • the lessons he learned from Jet Li
  • why he ultimately decided to leave his job with Jet Li and join Jackie Chan’s stunt team
  • what Jackie Chan is like in person
  • some great stories of his times with Jackie Chan and Jet Li
  • we end with some overall lessons and thoughts he’s learned in his life for achieving unbelievable things in your life
