This is Bags of Action. The podcast is devoted to action movies, both old and new, but all of them awesome! In this episode, part three of our trilogy devoted to Kurt Russell, we talk about the 1989 film, Tango and Cash. This film has two big stars in leading roles, Sly Stallone and Russell, with Stallone playing almost against type as he is the suade, rich, well-dressed and well-spoken Ray Tango, vs Gabriel Cash, played by Kurt Russell who is rough, smelly, lives in a crappy apartment and yet is an equally good cop in LA.
This episode could almost have been called Bags of Misery as we total up an impressive number of actors who have since passed away. The film also stars, Jack Palance, as the main shadowy, suspicious bad guy as he chews the scenery. There is also a very young Teri Hatcher, a To Wong Fu moment in the film and as the film progresses we start to realise that Pete watched a different version to Steve.
At the end of the episode we announce what we're doing next, which is a change from the norm as we're coming up to date and doing something very new, something still at the cinema. Listen to the episode to find out more.
