In this Podcast, Lisa Nopachi and I discuss our struggles as women and how to exercise Self Care. We explore ways to care for ourselves in the midst of caring for our children and families. Lisa shares obstacles that she has faced, and how she learned to trust her own voice. She gives practical advice on how to assess self needs, ways to practice listening to your body, and why it’s important to tune into emotions. Together we share challenges and joys in motherhood, and how to gain perspective in our health & wellness as women. Lisa Nopachi is the visionary for Rooted Pasadena: a network to support parents through the challenges, joys and transitions of new parenthood. She teaches Mindful Mama Classes to help women explore identity shifts, connect with other moms and gain tools for mindful parenting and self care. Lisa draws from her experience as an interfaith hospital and hospice chaplain, to help moms engage in Self Care. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Amherst College, and an M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. Lisa lives in Pasadena with her husband and 1 1/2 year-old daughter. www.rootedpasadena.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/balancedbybeth/support
