Welcome to Episode 1.10 of Beyond Deconstructing. I’m T Jamaica Pogue, affectionately known as Deconstructing Neuro, and I’m on a journey to help reframe how we understand and treat neurodivergence - in particular autism.

In this episode I had the pleasure of chatting with Stephen Brodeur - a fellow late diagnosed autistic navigating a neurotypical world full of illogical rules and no playbook for us, the clueless. We dive into how capitalism, ableism, and basically all of the -isms are tied to the colonial mindset (aka palm colored supremacy) and how we need to be unafraid to question how and why things are the way they currently are.

In a system that only benefits the rare few, why do the majority of humans continue to buy into it and sell their lives for the edification of the scheme we call "civilized society?"
