In this episode, Dr. Chinchilla Garfunkel and Dr. Simon go #beyondFLG with Dr. Megan Gavin to learn more about the similarities, or dissimilarities, between nematodes and humans, to learn more about the seedy underbelly of '90's era talk shows like Jenny Jones, and to get to the bottom of Dr. Gavin's path away from biology and toward psychology. Dr. Megan Gavin, aka the Great Gavsky, earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Indiana University, an M.A. degree in Community Counseling from NAU, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from NAU, aka the Harvard of the West. She is currently the director of Counseling Services at NAU which includes a wide range of job responsibilities in addition to seeing clients clinically. Additionally, The Great Gavsky is treasurer for the Northern Arizona Psychological Society (NAPS). Megan is from the hoosier state of Indiana and bares a strong resemblance in appearance and personality to Elaine Bennis...think Seinfeld. In this episode you'll get to witness this resemblance in radio format while also getting details about her life path and her experience as a guest on Jenny Jones.
