This book is simply an amazing treat to read!
At just under 500 pages, @sachintendulkar 's autobiography - co written by @boriamajumdar101 - is a beautifully written / crafted masterpiece. This is in stark contrast to some of the other cricketer autobiographies I've read which range from the half baked (Sourav Ganguly) @souravgangulyhome109 to the unnecessarily convoluted (Shane Warne) to the just downright awful (Kevin Pietersen) @kevinpietersen1587 . I grew up watching this man play international cricket for 24 years. And the book chronologically takes us through each and every one of his tours, all the way from 1989 up to 2013. As a history buff, I love books that take us through events in a linear / chronological fashion.
At the end of each chapter we also have summary scorecards from the matches given, which is quite amazing, as it brings back a sense of nostalgia for fans like myself who saw the matches from the outside, but are now privy to the inner workings and thoughts of the cricketers who were involved in those matches.
Given the transcendent nature of Sachin Tendulkar outside of his sport, I believe this is a must read book for both sports and non-sports fans alike.
Highly recommend this book for it's beauty and depth and the superstar persona that is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.
