This week, Kyrie and Cori discuss the short stories they selected, as well as some history on what makes a short story a short story! During their discussion, Kyrie and Cori drink Trader Joe’s Harvest Blend Herbal Tea – seasonal. A delicious blend of fall flavours that really make you feel warm when you drink it hot or a nice refreshing iced tea during the summer months.

Kyrie’s pick, What it means when a man falls from the sky by Lesley Nneka Arimah was very magical and could perhaps be linked to that genre. It had some weird story lines that didn’t make much sense (a baby made out of hair that eats hair?!) that made for some interesting reading experiences.

Cori’s selection, What is not yours is not yours by Helen Oyeyemi was also a bit far fetched, but one thing that stood out the most was that the stories more than what is classified as a short story, and all the characters were somehow related to one or another.

Have a listen to learn more about the stories and our opinions on the books.
