This week is all about one of my favorites. I'm talking about Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. The book follows Sunja and several generations of her family as they live as Koreans in Japan in a time when they were discriminated against. The adaptation focuses on Sunja and one of her grandsons as we delve deeper into their backstories. I talk about the changes and why they don't bother me, how I felt about this book after re-reading it, and quite possibly the best opening credits sequence. There are spoilers in this episode.
