There’s no doubt a lot of us are feeling a bit lost or struggling at the moment.

Well you’re not alone. In Bounce Back, Andrew talks to prominent Australians about major challenges that have been thrown their way, and how they’ve overcome these difficulties on the road to success.

This series will feature some of Australia’s most recognised sports men and women, prominent businesspeople and well-known politicians, allowing them to tell their story, in their own words.

In this episode Andrew speaks with Anna Meares, regarded as the greatest ever female track cyclist. Anna is the only Australian to have won individual medals at four consecutive Olympics and at Rio in 2016 was Australia's flag bearer.
But back in 2008, Anna almost lost her career and her life when she broke her neck during a track accident with just 2mm being the difference between life and death. Despite this just ten days after her accident Anna got back onto a stationary bike and pedal for a minute and later that day pedaled for five minutes. Seven months later she went on to compete at the Beijing Olympics.
Anna provides us with a detailed and honest insight into both her athletic career and personal life and talks us through the ways she dealt with the darker moments that she has confronted.
Bounce Back is about promoting well-being and good mental health, by showing that even in the most difficult of times, there are people who you can turn to for support - whether they’re mates, family, colleagues, professionals even your neighbours.

It’s about how to look after yourself when things are tough, believing in yourself and knowing you can come through it even stronger.
