BIO
Jane Ashmore is a director based in London, UK, specialising in television drama work. She began her career by working as a runner at the BBC whilst still an undergraduate student studying Theatre, Film & TV at the University of Bristol. She worked as a freelance assistant director on a variety of drama and comedy productions until she began directing full-time in 2016 on continuing TV drama series including EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale. LOVE (a short film) her first film has won over 30 awards including Best Film at the 2022 Ealing Film Festival, Best UK Short Film at The New Renaissance Film Festival and Best Female Director for Jane herself, at The 2022 London Director Awards.
