Listen to the Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) Blog Talk Radio Show today (12/3) at 2 p.m. (EST) to hear a LIVE interview with Christian author, Dr. Eugene G. Akins III. For more than twenty years, Christian author Dr. Eugene G. Akins III worked as a Podiatrist in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Akins' newest book, "Black Lives, White Lies: The Need for White Christians to Fight Racism in America,” interrupted the development of a sequel to his first book “Caught by the Collar” and was born out of conversations he had with white patients who did not understand the phrase Black Lives Matter and seemed in many cases to be almost offended by it. On the back of cover of this latest book, Dr. Akins wrote "Unfortunately, when it comes to Race in America, White Lies have been a staple of the narrative. White lies have been told to Black people about Black people and believed by Black people. White lies have been told to White people about Black people and believed by White people... [This book] will shed light on things that all Black Americans should understand about how we arrived at this point ... It seeks to answer some of the questions White readers may have about what led to the use of the Black Lives Matter phrase and encourage White Christian readers to consider 'taking up this Cross' in an effort to be more like Christ." Call (563) 999-3025 to ask questions of the scheduled guest. Co-hosts of this episode include Rev. Kevin Wayne Johnson and Lynn Pinder. SAVE THE DATE: 12/11/21 - Christian Writer's Literary Festival
