Day 84 | Joshua 10:1–12:6 Today’s passage highlights God’s power and faithfulness as He leads Israel in battle. Joshua, despite his past mistake with the Gibeonites, honors his vow and trusts God for victory (Joshua 10). He boldly prays for the sun to stand still, demonstrating faith that God answers prayer. The Israelites continue their conquest of the land, fulfilling God’s promise to Abraham. This passage reminds us that walking in faith requires trusting God’s Word, taking thoughts captive, and praying bold prayers. Day 83 | Joshua 7:1; 1 Chronicles 2:7; Joshua 7:2–9:27 After Israel’s miraculous victory at Jericho, their overconfidence leads to a crushing defeat at Ai due to Achan’s hidden sin (Joshua 7). This passage shows how disobedience affects the whole community, not just the individual. Once the sin is dealt with, Israel regains victory and Joshua reaffirms God’s law and promises (Joshua 8). But in their next challenge, they fail to seek God’s guidance, leading to a deceptive peace treaty with the Gibeonites (Joshua 9). Today’s reading reminds us that sin has consequences, obedience leads to blessing, and seeking God’s wisdom is always essential. Day 82 | Joshua 3:1–6:27 In today’s reading, we witness two of the most miraculous events in Israel’s history as they finally enter the Promised Land! First, God parts the Jordan River at flood stage, just as He parted the Red Sea for their ancestors. The priests must step into the water before the miracle happens, teaching us the importance of faith before sight (Joshua 3). Then, Israel faces Jericho, a fortified city that seems impossible to conquer. But God gives Joshua an unconventional battle plan—marching around the city for seven days. When the people obey in faith, the walls collapse, and Israel takes its first victory in Canaan (Joshua 6). This passage reminds us that God often leads us into impossible situations, not to abandon us, but to show His power and faithfulness. When we trust, obey, and wait on Him, He does what only He can do! Day 81 | Deuteronomy 33:1–34:12; Joshua 1:1–2:24 As we transition from the Exodus Era into the Conquest Era, we witness Moses’ final blessing over Israel before his death on Mount Nebo (Deuteronomy 34). Though he was not allowed to enter the Promised Land, God shows him the land from afar, fulfilling the promise made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. With Joshua stepping into leadership, God commands him repeatedly to be strong and courageous, reminding him that obedience to His Word is key to success (Joshua 1). As Israel prepares to enter Jericho, Joshua sends two spies, leading to an encounter with Rahab, a prostitute who recognizes the power of God and helps them escape. Her faith and courage not only save her family but also place her in the lineage of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5).This passage reminds us that God is faithful, He prepares us for what’s ahead, and He redeems those who trust in Him, no matter their past. Day 80 | Deuteronomy 31:30–32:52; Psalm 90 As Moses nears the end of his life, God gives him a song for the people of Israel—a song meant to remind them of God’s faithfulness and their own unfaithfulness. In Deuteronomy 31-32, Moses publicly recites this song, calling heaven and earth as witnesses to Israel’s history, failures, and future redemption. We also read Psalm 90, written by Moses, where he reflects on the eternity of God and the brevity of life. Through these passages, we see the power of music in shaping hearts and minds and the ultimate call to obey God's word, which is our very life. Day 79 | Deuteronomy 29:2–31:29In today's reading of Deuteronomy 29-31, Moses delivers his final words to Israel, urging them to remember God's faithfulness and choose obedience over rebellion. He reminds them of God's provision in the wilderness, warns them of the consequences of turning away, and emphasizes that God's commands are not too difficult to follow. The choice between life and death, blessings and curses is laid before them, and Moses pleads for them to choose life. We also see Joshua commissioned as Israel’s next leader, with God promising His presence and strength. This passage serves as a powerful reminder that God's faithfulness demands our obedience and that His word is near, guiding us daily.Hosts: Noah Sidhom, Ben TaylorVisit bellevue.org/bible for more resources and to download our reading plan.#ChronologicalBibleJourney #ChronologicalBible #BellevueBaptistChurch…
Day 78 | Deuteronomy 26:1–29:1 Moses lays out a crucial choice before Israel: Obedience leads to blessings, disobedience leads to curses.
