Clare County Council claims tenants are now more likely to bring forward complaints of anti-social behaviour in their estates than in the past. There's been an 18% rise in the number of complaints received by the local authority regarding anti-social behaviour in social housing this year. A cross-agency approach is taken by local councillors, the county's Estate Management Team and the Gardaí to deal with anti-social behaviour in local authority housing. Administrative Officer at Clare County Council John Corry believes due to the diligence of the team in recent years, tenants now feel more comfortable in raising issues.
