In this episode, Laurel sits down with Masha Shapiro, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and trauma professional, to talk about the use of co-regulation in trauma work, her research on the prodromal phase in the development of PTSD, and more!
Masha graduated from Fordham University with a degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2013, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a triple-certified trauma professional, and is a certified individual trauma specialist, a complex trauma specialist, and is fully certified in EMDR. Masha also specializes in the treatment of anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, perinatal mood disorders, narcissistic abuse recovery, self-esteem and relationship issues.
