Jay Trivedi, CEO of Uphams Community Care, was a latch key kid raised in Medford, MA by parents that emigrated from India in 1973 with only $8 to their name. His Mom and Dad were highly educated, but their degrees from India didn't quite translate when they came to the US. Nevertheless, his dad was able to build a career in Psychiatry, while his Mom pursued her path in Anesthesiology. From the get go, Jay had an interest in medicine. He wanted to be a Neurologist, but since his grades didn't quite cut it, he worked as an EMT, a professor and researcher, all while taking classes at night to get his MBA. He joined UCC in 2004 as the Director of Operations and today he is the second CEO in the company's 53 year history.
