This episode marks our first trip around the sun, which is a huge milestone for us, and we've had such an amazing first year with all of you! Grazie Mille!

Here's what to look forward to in this episode:

  • While it is our birthday episode, there's a sad announcement by one of our hosts that will change Delicious City forever 😭
  • Michael Klein of the Philadelphia Inquirer stops by to give us his fall preview of restaurant openings. Incredible things happening!
  • Philly's kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month with a whole slew of events and dinners that you can attend to support the LatinX community
  • What chefs should expect when being interviewed for a restaurant review by Philadelphia's biggest food critic, Craig Laban
  • There's an exciting new wine bar in Fishtown that's named after a very special flower and has some seriously ambitious goals
  • An absolute favorite South Philly restaurant is closing....Hint, it starts with K and ends with A, and it's not Italian
  • A favorite pizza place in Philly makes you reserve your dough the night before
  • Marisa finally visits the hottest restaurant down the shore, where you have to make reservations for before Memorial Day if you want a table all summer
  • A must-have Nigerian chicken sandwich in Old City, which actually has peanut sauce and it's a mind blowing "chickperience"
  • One of the hottest bakeries in Philly stops in to bring us some of the sweet delights that made them famous...mmmmmmm
  • Delicious City's Restaurant Correspondent tells you where you need to be eating right now in Philly
  • A proper sendoff for our departing host with her husband coming into the studio on the final recording.… does that give it away?

And of course we could not do this without our amazing partners who are as passionate about food and drink as we are:

  • For the most tasty, healthy, and satisfying salads and noodle dishes in Philly, click here to order Honeygrow
  • If your restaurant or company wants to be in the headlines for all the right reasons, click here to discover how Peter Breslow Consulting and PR can take your business to the next level
  • If you love whiskey and you love Pennsylvania, then you’re going to love Dad’s Hat Rye Whiskey. Check out the website where you can order it straight to your front door or find a bar where you can taste the tradition.

Connect with us on Instagram and, of course, share your eating adventures with us as well as tag us in your posts so we can talk about them on air!
