It’s the very first episode of The Big Pitch with Jimmy Carr and our first guest is Phil Wang! And Phil’s subgenre is…This Place is Evil. *taps feed* Hello? Is this thing on? Hey sorry if you saw something new on the feed and thought there was a new ep out, nothing that exciting, just… the last episode of Tri just aired in the US and I wanted to talk a bit about how I felt about it. So if you’ve got 20 minutes and want some kind of rambley stream-of-consciousness thoughts about the whole of Digimon Adventure Tri, I guess it’s your lucky day! Oh, the title has nothing to do with anything I talk about, it’s just a line read that got used a lot in ep 6 that I thought was funny.…
Hot off Episode 41 and some absolute garbage that you can totally listen to if you really want, Tyler, Jules, and Joel pour more drinks and dive into Episode 42, Under Pressure (Japanese title: Whamon of the Silent Ocean Floor, DVD title: Thank You Whamon). Along the way: Impromptu Karaoke, Important Fish Revelations, Meet Sid and Phil: Star Wars Fanatics, Koushiro Izumi: Amoral Biohacker, Where Did All These Divermon Come From?, Mouthful of WarGraymon, Live Poetry Composition, The Podcast Comes Undone by the Telephone…
Live from Jules' dining room, the entire Moncast crew gets together for an episode they were all kind of dreading that turned out to be pretty good, actually. Episode 41- "Seasick and Tired", JP title "The Hardened King of the Seas! MetalSeadramon!", DVD Title "Revenge of Metal Seadramon"
It's a bonus episode! Jules invites Tyler and Joel over to her house to watch some Digimon, but it was just a trick to get them to watch Summer Wars with her instead. But it's a really good movie so they're pretty cool with it. If you have a copy of the movie, feel free to watch along!
It's time, once again, for Fanfiction Radio Theater, your home for all the drama, excitement, and inexplicable storytelling that can only come from the unlicensed use of copyrighted characters by amateur authors unconstrained by editors, publishers, or basic rules of writing.
Prophecies about the devil, ominous chanting, and a ship to last through the ages are what's in store for us as we watch episode 38 - "Prophecy", JP title "Revival! The Demon Lord VenomVamdemon", DVD title "Venom Myotismon, The Beast"
Happy birthday Tyler. A little over a year ago you started this trainwreck of a podcast and to show our appreciation, here's an episode we recorded entirely on our own, without you holding us back. I'm pretty sure it's the best one we've done yet. (Note: This was recorded, like, 2 months ago, and I only just now got around to editing it because I'm the worst. Never leave us alone again, Tyler, this all falls apart without you!)…
Tyler's moving and for his hubris has been deprived of Internet, so Jules and Joel try to keep the podcast going without him. And boy oh boy does it keep going. And going. We briefly discuss the synopsis for the next episode of Tri before digging into another episode in which our heroes do nothing but travel for 20 minutes, but somehow it's still a refreshing change of pace from usual. The lack of a desert might have something to do with it. Oh, also Joel shares a harrowing tale of corruption, betrayal, and hard life lessons in rural America. It's guaranteed to set more kids straight than the cumulative efforts of D.A.R.E.…
So, it turns out trying to sync up two Australians with sporadic work schedules and an 8-to-5-er in the States is really tough sometimes, so we haven't recorded in a while. That sucks, so as an apology for the missed eps, I threw together a little... bonus... episode, made entirely of clips from our backup recording that were never meant for the podcast itself. If you've ever wondered what happens in the three-and-a-half hours that we DON'T record for your enjoyment, now's your chance to find out. (Also see if you can guess which episode this is from. It's really fucking easy to tell.)…
Joel watched the English dub of Tri. Now he's telling you what he thought of it. Mild random spoilers for something that's already been more aggressively spoiled on this show before.
