Dr. Alae Kawam is currently a Surgical Pathology fellow in New York. She completed Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency in New York. Originally from NJ, she graduated from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018. Prior to that she was a Chemistry major at Drew University and graduated with honors in 2014 and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She serves on the Wellness Committee and the JEDI committee (Justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) at her current institution. Her professional interests include workplace wellness, DEI, and bias in decision making. Outside of work she enjoys watching comedy, spending time with family, and a good cup of tea.
