On this episode of the DO or Do Not podcast, we interview Sandra Snyder, DO. Dr. Snyder is the Program Director of the Family Medicine residency program at the Cleveland Clinic. It is with pride that we speak with Dr. Snyder, an Osteopathic Physician who leads a program at one of the most prestigious institutions in the country. For those of you who are not familiar with the Cleveland Clinic, read this blurb from their website:
Cleveland Clinic was at the forefront of modern medicine when its founders
opened it as a multi-specialty group practice in 1921. In its first century,
Cleveland Clinic has introduced many medical firsts, opened facilities around the
world, and is proud to be ranked among the top hospitals in the country. Now, 100
years later, the vision of the founders remains Cleveland Clinic’s mission: caring
for life, researching for health, and educating those who serve.
This episode mostly focuses on the field of family medicine from the unique perspective of a residency director. Dr. Snyder will talk about the residents that come to the Cleveland Clinic to train with her and provide further insights for medical students interested in such a program. Dr. Snyder will discuss why both osteopathic and allopathic students should care about the future of family medicine. We hope you enjoy this episode!
