In this episode, Hannah is joined by Jennifer Savin, who is the features editor at Cosmopolitan UK. Jennifer talks all about deepfake porn, why women are more likely to be impacted by it, and how long it can take laws to catch up with technology. What’s the balance between protecting yourself from internet image abuse while not censoring yourself online? Jennifer and Hannah also talk about how damaging break-ups can be to people’s mental health, whether you can or should avoid being in contact with exes after break-ups, and how important it is to let people know if you’re struggling. Jennifer shares her own experience of attempting to take her own life after a break-up, and why we need to stop dismissing people’s pain around break-ups and take their experiences seriously. Finally, and Hannah discuss advice for break-up mental health care, and getting back to basics to help you care for yourself.
CW: discussion of suicide from the beginning of the episode
