Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder that occurs when there is an extra copy of chromosome 21. It is one of the most common genetic conditions and affects approximately 1 in every 800-1000 live births. People with Down Syndrome often have intellectual disabilities, physical and facial abnormalities, and an increased risk of developing certain medical conditions such as heart defects, hearing loss, and thyroid problems.While there is no cure for Down Syndrome, there are various treatments and interventions available that can help individuals with the condition live healthy and fulfilling lives.
