Science journalist and former elite distance runner Alex Hutchinson joins Dr Giles Yeo to explore whether it’s possible to build muscle on a plant-based diet, and why it’s so much easier to consume calories than burn them. Giles also takes the opportunity to ask Alex why he ‘hit the wall’ during a cycling endurance race despite carb-loading the night before.
